Take Action: Join us at the Capitol!

Join our Pay AR Teachers coalition on the morning of Tuesday 2/28 at 8am. We will meet on the front steps of the Capitol and make our way together to House Education. There will be an opportunity to testify for/against the bill, and committee will likely begin at 9am in the Big Mac building, room A. Event info here!

The LEARNS Act is Gov. Sanders’ signature legislative priority. It’s a 144 page bill that outlines dramatic changes to our public education system and covers scores of policies like universal voucher expansion, teacher pay, literacy standards, tutoring, community service, work-study programming, worker dismissals, merit-based pay, and more. There is support to pass the bill in the Arkansas legislature though it remains unpopular among public educators.
